Its voice AI listens to children read aloud, screens for dyslexia risk, pinpoints specific skill gaps, and turns those results into a personalized daily reading program that adapts in real time. The company began as EarlyBird Education, whose screening assessment is used by school districts and teachers nationwide, and now also sells directly to families, pairing the software with human reading specialists who coach both child and parent. It was founded by CEO Carla Small, formerly head of the Innovation and Digital Health Accelerator at Boston Children's Hospital, where the approach was first tested.
