NewDays is a Seattle telehealth company offering an AI-assisted treatment program for people with mild cognitive impairment and early-stage dementia. Patients get telehealth visits with licensed cognitive clinicians once or twice a month, combined with frequent guided brain-training conversations with an AI companion called Sunny. The company took clinically proven cognitive interventions and assigned the great majority of the delivery work to AI, with a human clinician supervising and tailoring each care plan. It was founded in 2024 by Babak Parviz, formerly a VP at Amazon and the founder of the Google Glass team at Google X, with Daniel Kelly.
What sets it apart
Delivers a clinician-supervised cognitive care program at home by handing most of the repeated therapeutic work to an AI companion, making an intervention that normally requires scarce specialist time affordable and frequent; the clinician visits are billed to insurance and Medicare, with the AI-guided portion sold as a low monthly subscription.
