Magic Potion Games is a game studio building safe, social online worlds for children under 13. Its flagship product, Imagine Island, is a story-driven virtual world that passed one million players during beta and won Best Web Game at the 2026 Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards. The company was founded in 2023 by Stephen MacDonald and Karin Johnson with a team drawn from Club Penguin, Disney Online, Electronic Arts, Epic Games and Ubisoft. It has raised roughly $5 million, most recently a Series A backed by Square Enix, 1AM Gaming, 1Up Ventures and Konvoy Ventures, with Bungie founder Alex Seropian and Club Penguin co-founder Lane Merrifield advising.
